39 Let's hurry, get to another door right quick (I want to speak about it.), and that's the door of faith. The reason we can't have miracles no more, like they ought to be among the people… Why? Is because the door of faith has been closed.
Now, you say, "I go to church, Lord. I've accepted You as my Saviour. But I believe that the days of miracles is past." How can God work in a heart like that? You got your mind made up. You're going to do what you want to do. God can't tell you nothing. Then if He can't do that, how can He give you faith? Why don't you just let Him stand in the door? And every word that He says in the Scripture, you say "Amen" to it, and accept it. That's what takes place when Jesus stands in the door of faith.

And because God sent it in His way, then they refused to believe it. But God had that way of doing to sent it, and He never send it any other way but what His Word said He would come.
But they had their mind made up it had to be some other way. There's where we make the mistake, friends. That's where the trouble lays.

He said, "And that's the way it is…"
And I thought, "What's going on here?" He looked like he was Christian man. Looked around, there I looked over on the wall, like towards this way, and there I seen it, moving out. And I turned around to him. Many setting here now was right in the meeting when it happened. And I—I said "Why, why would you let the devil put such a thing as that in your mind?" I said, "Now, you are a certain church," I won't call the name, "that don't believe. The days of miracles is past. And you was at the meeting the other night and told me, and—and said, within yourself rather, that this was nothing but a mental telepathy." And I said, "That man setting right yonder in the balcony with the red tie on and the gray suit, you was in his house the other night; you was setting at a table had a cloth pulled over it like this, and you made up in your mind that you was going to come down here and write that on your prayer card, and come in here."
And that man screamed out and said, "That is the living truth," setting up in the platform like that.
26 And I said, "Because that you have said, and put that on your prayer card, now you have it." And he died about six weeks afterwards.
See, we're not playing, church. We're living in the Presence of the Holy Ghost." Remember Ananias and Sapphira? You better be sincere and correct with God before you try that. Remember, "It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." See? There it was. It come right upon him, and the diagnosis of the case and everything, showed he had both cancer and TB. He said it, he—and his words come to pass. That's just exactly. He sealed his own doom, just exactly.

25 Well, that morning, when Doctor Lee Vayle was my speaker at the campaign, he had introduced me to the—the audience, after the breakfast, and I took the—this text, "I was not disobedient to the Heavenly vision." Just in a moment, I noticed a minister looked at his watch, reached over and nodded his head to the other fellow, got up and went out. Before I had said six or eight words, almost a third of that ministerial group had walked out. Before I'd had five minutes of speaking just what Paul said, that he was "not disobedient to the heavenly vision," because God had called him to this work, they seen right then where I was going to base my thought. There wasn't over one third of the group left. Now that's not even giving Christian consideration, as a man that would name the Name of Jesus Christ.
26 I say this with respects, but I say it to sink in. I had more understanding, and better fellowship, with a bunch of African witch doctors than I did that group of ministers that morning. They give more consideration to the Word of God, and asked questions, for the… that I could give them the hope that laid within me, for the hope of Eternal Life.
27 These ministers had no time for It at all. Just quickly, as soon as you would say something, out they'd go. And so that's the way it is. They got their mind made up, they just stay so long, and that's all they want to know. If it one Word disagreeing with any petty thing that they believe in, they cannot stay and listen through It. That's the reason they couldn't believe Jesus Christ at His first advent. That's the reason they'll miss Him in the Second

8 Now, the people's attitude… Some people make up their mind, that when they come to the meeting, that they're coming to find something to criticize. Well now, Satan will be sure to show you that. If you come determined, you're going to find something good, God will show it to you. Now, it's your attitude, dear Christian.
And notice. Now, when Nathanael, he kinda made up his mind that when he come, he wanted to see what good could come out of Nazareth.
And Jesus saw him coming, and He knowed he was a just man, a good man. And He said… Jesus said to him, said, "Behold, an Israelite, indeed, in whom there is no guile."
And so, in other words, if I'd say he was coming in the prayer line here, a man, I'd say, "Why, behold, there's a Christian, a good truthful man."
"Why," he said, "how'd He know anything about me?"
He said, "Before Nathanael got to you—or Philip got you, you were under the tree."
And watch. Quickly, he didn't judge Him to be a spiritualist. He didn't judge Him to be something wrong. He said, "Thou, Rabbi (Master), Thou art the Son of God, the King of Israel." Now, he become a follower of Jesus
